Terms & What to Wear for your upcoming session

Rae Matthews Photography is a predominantly natural light photography business. Most sessions are taken outside, however, newborns and toddlers can be photographed inside using natural window light, if preferred.

Please either call {832}687-9657or email {rrich12@yahoo.com} to book your session. Your session fee is due at the time of booking to reserve your date. You will be able to pay with credit card on my website, or you can mail a check {8006 Club Point Drive, Humble, Texas 77346}. No refunds will be given. We can reschedule your date due to illness, or weather. Please try to let me know 24-48 hours in advance in case of illness.

Your session will last approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours, depending on the shoot, and number of people involved. Newborn shoots can take up to 2 1/2 - 3 hours due to the baby needing to be fed, etc....

After the shoot is finished, you can expect to have your session edited and put on to a slideshow for your viewing on my website within 2 weeks. You may share your password with family and friends! Your slideshow will expire after 2 weeks. After the 2 weeks, your session will be archived and there will be a $50.00 fee to retrieve and re-post your images. Once your order has been placed, please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. Payment is due in full at the time you purchase your order.

I have many different forms of prints available. Maybe you are just wanting regular prints, maybe a canvas, or a metallic print? The sky is the limit, just let me know! I also offer birth announcements, graduation announcements, Christmas cards, albums, CD, etc....Please feel free to talk to me about anything you might be wanting!

I look forward to meeting you and getting exactly what you want out of your shoot! :)

Let's SMILE and have some fun!

WHAT TO WEAR...{The question I get ALL the time!} :)

Here are a few tips....

1. Avoid large patterns, logos, characters and words that will draw the viewers eyes away from the subjects face.

2. You want to coordinate, not match! Think of the color palette, warm tones, cool tones, earth tones, etc....

3. Bright and fun and rich and vibrant are great! Don't be afraid to be bold! Always make sure the colors compliment each other.

4. With a family picture, have 1 or 2 in small patterns, and the rest in solids, as long as they compliment each other. (More solids than patterns.)

5. Add layers to your outfit choice. Layers help to add dimension to your picture.

6. Hats and accessories for summer are cute, and scarves and jackets for winter will help add that extra punch to your picture!

7. You are always welcome to bring simple props for children for a few of the pictures. What are your child's favorites????

8. Dress comfortable, as you will probably be doing a lot of sitting and standing, and possibly even sitting on the ground.

9. And of course your best SMILE always makes for a great picture!

Magazines and Pinterest are a great resource for clothing choices.
